Join us for a special evening at Petra Restaurant hosted by owners Chris and Kelsey Barkman on Saturday, July 19th at 7pm.
The theme for this wine dinner is What California Wine Can be. Digging deep to the European grapes that made their way to the Golden State and why they thrive well in specific climates in California. Chef Kelsey Barkman will be in the kitchen preparing your food while wine guy, Chris Barkman will be pouring you three, distinctive wines to pair with your three course meal. The theme for this wine dinner is the South of France. Focusing on wines from the South of France paired with Provencal dishes. Chef Kelsey Barkman will be in the kitchen preparing your food while wine guy, Chris Barkman will be pouring you three, distinctive wines to pair with your three course meal. ALPEN WINE FEST, 35TH ANNUAL, SUNDAY AUGUST 31ST FROM 2-5PM
ABOUT THE EVENT: Guests stroll the Village of Olympic Valley while enjoying some of the best wines from iconic regions and appellations within California, Europe and beyond while listening to live music in the heart of Tahoe’s most beautiful alpine valley. About The Non-Profit: Since 1984, Can Do MS, formerly The Jimmie Heuga Center for Multiple Sclerosis, has been at the forefront of promoting the culture and belief that everyone living with MS has the power to live full lives. Can Do MS honors the legacy and beliefs of founder Jimmie Heuga, a pioneer in the MS care management field. Today, as researchers continue to seek a cure for MS, Can Do MS’s interdisciplinary approach continues to fill a unique gap in the continuum of MS care management.
NOVEMBER 20TH
Beaujolais Party, Thursday, November 20th at Uncorked Truckee and Uncorked Tahoe City from 5pm-8pm. Join us for an evening centered around Beaujolais, where the grape Gamay is the shinning star. Discover the 10 cru Beaujolais vineyards and taste offering’s from iconic producers that showcase the lively, fun and high-quality Beaujolais that is produced in the Southern part of Burgundy. Authentic, artisanal cheeses along with small plates will be available to pair with your wine.
*Each year in the region of Beaujolais on the 3rd Thursday of November is a celebration of the new release of Beaujolais wine. It is a lively day enjoying gobs of delicious, fruity Beaujolais, eating, socializing and just having a good old time. We are going to bring that experience to you. Feel free to dress up in French fashion but that is up to you.
